By way of a very quick update, I am excited to report that the team at Responsum is moving swiftly ahead with the development of a revolutionary, personalized online tool for PF patients, their caregivers, and their supportive circle of family and friends. Our professional research and writing team has already curated and crafted a library of over 300 article summaries, and our IT team is in the process of developing a customized newsfeed of articles, clinical trial abstracts, advocacy platform and various other types of functionalities that real patients have told us they want to have.
We are employing two expert teams of technology developers in Silicon Valley, California and Washington, DC to turn our ideas into reality.
Ultimately, we hope that our PF product will launch us on our way to perfecting a tool that can be adjusted and customized for every chronic disease patient population.
While I had hoped to have something ready to show you this summer, I regret to report that the technology build-out process is proving more time consuming than we had hoped. We currently plan to have a fully functioning product to share with you by the beginning of September. But it will be worth the wait.
None of this would be possible but for the incredible contribution and participation of many PF patients, who are responsible for 90% of the good ideas that we’re trying to incorporate into this tool. These amazing and brave patients have filled all our efforts with a spirit of hope, determination and urgency.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions, thoughts or ideas. We will almost certainly be counting on the continued support and advice from IPF patients and experts as we build out “Responsum for IPF” in the coming weeks.
